Per raggiungere l'altra sponda della Creek con una barca-taxi ci vogliono appena alcuni minuti. Il costo è minimo.

Guardandomi intorno, noto molte barche con montagne di rifiuti e gabbiani, o volatili somiglianti (non sono specialista dei volatili), che ne fanno il loro cibo.
Arrivati a destino sull'altra sponda della Creek, trovo un souk (mercato) con principalmente delle spezie. Qui ho trovato dello zafferano proveniente dall'Iran e una confezione di alcuni grammi di diverse spezie: un ricordo ideale.
Il souk dell'oro si trova un pò più lontano. Negozi di gioiellieri sono affiancati l'uno all'altro e presentano una quantità immensa di bracialetti, anelli, collane, orecchini, orologi in oro giallo, oro bianco, argento, platino e anche in altri materiali, ma in minor numero, ciò che mi sembra ovvio, altrimenti, questo mercato non si chiamerebbe "del oro". Prima di comperare un gioiello in oro, è consigliato informarsi sul prezzo di mercato dell'oro e fare una visita a un gioielliere in Italia per potere fare il confronte dei prezzi; quindi, per chi avesse in mente di comperare del oro a Dubai, si informi sul prezzo del oro prima di intraprendere il viaggio.

Son atrium de 180 mètres de haut est capable de contenir le "Dubaï World Trade Center, le plus haut bâtiment à Dubaï, dans les années 1970.
L'hôtel ne contient pas de chambre double ou individuelle, mais seulement 60 suites à double étage, avec escalier interne, à partir de 196 pieds carrés pour les plus petites suites et jusqu'à 780 pieds carrés pour les plus grands.
Le prix par nuit varie de 1.000 USD (dollars américains) à 28,000 USD. Aussi, le petit-déjeuner n'est pas inclus dans le prix et sera facturé environ 45 € (environ 60 USD) par personne.
Au niveua du toi, un cantilever circulaire sert de héliport et se situe à 210 mètres au-dessus du niveau de la mer. Le Burj al Arab, qui signifie "la tour des Arabes", a été construit sur une île artificielle, afin que son ombre ne soit pas projetée sur le Jumeirah Beach Hotel, qui fait partie du complexe hôtelier et a la forme d'une vague.

Après la construction du Burj al Arab, le peuple n'a plus voulu parler de cet hôtel car il y avait une histoire quelque peu controversé:
L'hôtel, en forme de voile, a également un restaurant de 120 mètres de long et horizontal situé sur le pilier qui joue le rôle de mêt du bâteau imaginaire, c'est-à-dire le principal pilier qui fait face à la mer. L'hôtel, vu de profil semble être un evoile, mais, vu à partir d'un bateau de la mer, est une grande croix. Selon certains articles, l'architecte qui a conçu l'hôtel a déclaré à son retour en Australie, qu'il aurait construit la plus grande croix du monde en territoire musulman. À ces mots, les Arabes, en colère, ont voulu la démolition de l'hôtel! Cela est compréhernsible si nous savons que les Arabes interdisent même les avions de voler, aud-dessus de la Mecque ainsi que la capitale de l'Arabie saoudite, Riyad, car la projection d'un avion sur le sol dessine une ombre en forme de croix, symbole chrétien.
À ce point, le cheikh de Dubaï, a voulu mettre un terme à toutes ces protestations et aux tensions, survenues en disant que toute cette histoire n'est que rumeur et que l'hôtel ne serait pas détruit.

In shape of a sail, this building is the highest that is used exclusively as a hotel in the world. A special derogation was granted to this the Burj Al Arab to be qualified as the world's only seven (7) stars hotel. After the construction of the Burj al Arab, people no longer accepted to talk about this hotel because there was a somewhat controversial story:
The hotel, in the shape of a sailing, also has a 120 metres aong horizontal restaurantand located "on the mast" that is the main pillar on seaside. The hotel, when seen in profile appears to be a sail, but, when seen from a boat on the sea, it seems a tall cross. It seems that the architect who designed the hotel realised when he went back to Australia, that he had built the world's largest cross on Muslim territory. On these words the Arabs asked to demolish the hotel! This rection is fully understandable if we know that in Saudi Arabia even planes are not allowed to fly to Mecca situated in the capital city, Riyadh, because the plane's shadow projected on the ground is shape of a cross, a Christian symbol.
At that point, the Sheikh of Dubai put an end to all these protests and tensions saying that these are only gossip and that the hotel will not be destroyed.
